Rebecca LaVictoire, a Regional + City Planning student, was recently awarded the 2021 Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion scholarship from the Women and Planning Division of the American Planning Association.
This scholarship aims to support a student who has a passion to influence planning practices and the planning profession to be more equitable, inclusive, and diverse.
Rebecca was selected from applicants across the country based on her essay submission, which will be published in a future issue of the Division’s newsletter. Rebecca will graduate from Gibbs College in May with her Master’s Degree in Regional + City Planning.

The Gibbs Design in Action Awards (GDAA) program, led by Dr. Wanda Liebermann, has announced its 2026–2027 funded student projects. The initiative supports design and research work that addresses social, cultural, and economic issues in the built environment through collaboration with faculty and community partners.
