Interior Design Senior, Ava Moore, and Interior Design 2022 Graduate, Olivia Aasheim, recently received awards from the Oklahoma Interior Design Coalition’s (OIDC).
The OIDC is a legislative advocate organization dedicated to promoting, protecting, and enhancing the Interior Design profession in the State of Oklahoma. They recently held their annual Award Ceremony, which includes a student competition.
Olivia Aasheim received Best in Student Competition for her submission with Kasa de Koko, Como una Bomba, The Sandy Spur. Ava Moore received an Honorable Mention in the Student Competition for her submission with NEXT New York Office.
Olivia, who submitted her work as a student and graduated from the Gibbs College Interior Design program in May 2022, now currently works in Dallas for the Interior Design firm Page Southerland Page.

Christopher C. Gibbs College of Architecture professor and Institute for Quality Communities Director Dr. Amber N. Wiley’s book, Model Schools in the Model City: Race, Planning, and Education in the Nation’s Capital, has received two major honors from the Urban History Association.
