OU RCPL Faculty and PhD Student Present Community Engagement Practices to MetaFund

On March 29, 2023, Regional + City Planning faculty Dr. John C. Harris and Dr. C Aujean Lee joined doctoral student and Institute for Quality Communities (IQC) Research Fellow Rebecca Blaine to present to MetaFund about community engagement practices.

MetaFund is an Oklahoma-based nonprofit that invests in creative solutions for communities, with a primary focus on quality jobs, affordable housing, community health, and child wellbeing. The organization invites presenters to share about various community development topics.

The team shared their findings and recommendations from last year’s IQC project with the City of Tulsa. For the project, students from the Community Development and Revitalization course and the Planning with Diverse Communities course conducted virtual canvassing of the Riverwood neighborhood.
