Timothy Bradford, author of the poetry collection Nomads with Samsonite (BlazeVOX Books, 2011) and recipient of the Koret Foundation’s Young Writer on Jewish Themes Award, has taught language, literature, and writing courses for over twenty-five years. In 2018, he joined the Expository Writing Program at OU, and from 2019 to 2023, he was a co-director of the Mark Allen Everett Poetry Series and the Writers Guild/Oklahoma Prison Writers and Artists Foundation. In 2025, he joined the Honors College as a Senior Lecturer.

His courses emphasize asking great questions, using scaffolded writing assignments, valuing student voices and lived experience, engaging creativity, and exploring the continuum between informal and formal language in academic writing. They also provide the opportunity to practice more traditional skills related to university-level analytical reading, thinking, researching, and writing on various topics.
