The University of Oklahoma will honor the achievements of the Class of 2024 during individual Commencement ceremonies, scheduled to begin Thursday, May 9 at Lloyd Noble Center, 2900 S. Jenkins Ave. A time-honored tradition filled with pageantry, graduates and guests will be welcomed by bagpipers and color guards at each ceremony.

Researchers at the University of Oklahoma are studying a new blood test that potentially can identify more than 50 types of cancer, notably the ones that might otherwise go undetected until after the cancer has spread. The clinical trial, offered at OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center, is studying a multi-cancer early detection test made by the company Grail.

University of Oklahoma leaders and Congressman Tom Cole (OK-04) celebrated the recent funding to support improvements to the Max Westheimer Airport in Norman. Renovations include extending and strengthening the runway, developing a new taxiway and adding hangar space to accommodate OU’s growing aviation school and increased airport traffic.
