Mission

It is the mission of the University of Oklahoma to create an academic culture that fosters student integrity both in and out of the classroom. Resources found throughout this website can help you to understand this mission, as well as guide you through the academic integrity system.

If you have any further questions about our system, you may contact the Office of the Academic Integrity Programs (OAIP).

FERPA

Our ability to answer questions about specific cases is limited by federal law. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) [20 U.S.C. § 1232(g)] generally prohibits the release of a student’s educational information, including any documents associated with an admonition or academic misconduct charge against the student by the University of Oklahoma, without the student’s consent.

An OAIP-specific FERPA form is used to permit the release of this information. This form must be completed and submitted to the OAIP by the student, specifying which parties, if any, the OAIP may speak with regarding the student's educational information.
