Please read carefully the important information below about questions you might have regarding:

Enrollment

  • Students can enroll in a Winter course through the 2nd day of class, but are encouraged to enroll and participate from the first day.
  • Double-Check all online transactions.  It takes only a couple of minutes to log out and back in to make sure your enrollment or drop went through successfully.
  • Please contact your academic advisor and the Office of the Registrar at (405) 325-3527 or enroll@ou.edu if you have questions or problems concerning enrollment or cancellation.

Taking a Winter Session Course

You must be admitted to the University and be eligible to enroll in order to register. Non-OU students may apply as a Visiting Student for the fall semester; please visit, admissions.ou.edu. PLEASE NOTE: it may take several weeks for a non-degree / visiting application to be processed. Admission submissions are recommended prior to Thanksgiving.

It is the responsibility of the student to check with his or her advisor to determine if a course is applicable to their degree program.  

  • Enroll online:  One.ou.edu
    on your specified day (by classification). If you have any registration stops, they must be cleared prior to your enrollment.
  • Drop a Course: Students can drop their course online through the 2nd day of Winter Session; students should contact the Office of the Registrar in Buchanan Hall (325-3527) or enroll@ou.edu to drop a Winter course.
  • Attempting to drop a course: if the drop box is NOT available then the deadline to drop your class with a refund has passed.  You must contact your academic advisor for approval.

Dropping a Winter Course

Withdraw before classes begin:

  • Full refund of tuition and fees
  • No grade

Withdraw on First to Second day of Winter class

  • Full refund of tuition and fees
  • No grade of W assigned

Automatic Grade of W assigned when dropping a class: 3rd day through the 3rd Friday, students will need to contact their academic advisor.

After the automatic W deadline has passed, students must get the permission of their instructor and contact their academic advisor.
