Connecting from a desktop email client, like Outlook (PC) or Entourage (Mac) is a good idea if you consistently work from the same computer. In addition to connections with Outlook, OU IT is enabling both POP and IMAP connections for those wishing to connect using non-Microsoft clients.

Outgoing Mail Server: asmtp.ou.edu
Port: 587
Additionally, both incoming and outgoing servers require SSL or TLS authentication.
