OUTLOOK WEB ACCESS
Outlook Web Access (OWA) replaces the existing OU Mail webmail interface and is OU IT's recommended method for checking your Exchange email. OWA offers a user-friendly, efficient mail interface with easy access to Exchange's robust features and allows you to quickly check your email from any computer with an internet connection.
Take a video tour of OWA.
To use OWA:
- Point your web browser to your preferred OU Mail URL (oumail.ou.edu, mail.ou.edu, pop.ou.edu, etc.) or to http://exchangeit.ou.edu.
- Select Use Web Access Light to use the OWA Light * (required for non-IE browsers) or leave the checkbox blank to use OWA Premium **.
- Log in using your 4+4 and password. The new login page will check to make sure that your mailbox has been moved to Exchange. If it has, you will be logged into Exchange.
- If the site logs you into the old OU Mail interface, your account has not yet been moved. Click here for more information.
There are two versions of OWA: Premium and Light.
* OWA Premium
The OWA Premium client offers quick and easy to Exchange features in a slick, user-friendly interface similar in layout and function to the Exchange desktop client, and includes great extras like full right-click functionality and auto send/receive.
OWA Premium requires a computer runnings Windows and Internet Explorer 6 or 7. Click the picture to the right for a full screen view of the OWA Premium interface.
** OWA Light
OWA Light is compatible with most operating systems (including PC and Mac) and browsers and also makes access from internet-capable mobile devices a snap.
