You received an email this morning outlining mail transfer details for moving OU Mail users to Exchange 2007. Please disregard this message; we intended to send it only to those faculty and staff using the current student mail system (also called OU Mail or POP). 

OU IT will transfer all contents of your existing Exchange mailbox to the new system. In fact, we have successfully transferred over 2,000 Exchange users with minimal after hours service interruption. 

We apologize for any confusion this might have caused.

On Wednesday, August 1, OU IT will begin moving OU Mail users to the new reliable, feature-rich Exchange 2007 email system. 

Transfers will last throughout the semester. You will receive an email 24 hours prior to transfer. We will transfer email messages, folders, and contacts. We will not transfer contacts added after August 1, contact groups, deleted items, and junk mail.

Once the transfer is complete, OU IT will place a confirmation message in your OU Mail inbox with instructions for accessing Exchange (it will be the only message there). 

Continue using OU Mail until you receive transfer confirmation.
