The Native Nations Center for Tribal Policy Research (NNCTPR) at the University of Oklahoma is a policy research institute situated within the Office of Tribal Relations in the Office of the President. The NNCTPR produces high-quality, nonpartisan research designed to inform Tribal policy decision-making.

The Native Nations Center for Tribal Policy Research strives to be recognized as the premier institute that produces trustworthy, transformational, and forward-thinking policy research focused on tribal governance and sovereignty, while supporting tribally centered capacity-building initiatives. We aspire to embody research excellence in service of Indian Country through ethical, collaborative relationships.

  MISSION

The mission of the Native Nations Center for Tribal Policy Research is to serve Tribal Nations through innovative and accessible research that is intuitive to Tribal values. Our rigorous review process ensures we produce non-partisan, neutral deliverables that honor tribal autonomy and inform decision-making. We seek to provide expertise in tribal healthcare, innovative technology, tribal economic development, tribal energy, and environmental/natural resources.
