NORMAN, Okla. – Thirty-eight students eligible to graduate from the University of Oklahoma in December maintained perfect 4.0 grade-point averages throughout their undergraduate careers at OU. Of the total, more than half are from Oklahoma.
To commemorate their achievement, the students were honored by OU Senior Vice President and Provost André-Denis Wright in a ceremony held Dec. 11 on the Norman campus. Each student who earned an overall 4.0 GPA received a bronze medallion on a crimson ribbon, which may be worn during graduation ceremonies.

State agencies across the United States rely on irrigation maps for managing freshwater resources. Researchers from the University of Oklahoma are improving these critical maps by leading two projects that will support timely, reliable information.
A first-of-its-kind study from the University of Oklahoma found that hospice agencies can provide blood and platelet transfusions at home for patients with blood cancers who are no longer pursuing aggressive treatment. The approach allowed patients to receive transfusions for symptom relief without repeated trips to a hospital or clinic, giving them more opportunity to spend time with loved ones.
The Oklahoma Higher Education Heritage Society inducted six current and former University of Oklahoma employees into the Oklahoma Higher Education Hall of Fame on Monday. The 32nd annual OHEHS Hall of Fame Banquet and Induction Ceremony was held at the University of Central Oklahoma where the inductees were recognized for their distinguished contributions to higher education across the state.
