Sixteen OU Students Named Outstanding Senior Award Recipients

NORMAN, Okla. – Sixteen seniors from the University of Oklahoma have been selected as Outstanding Seniors for their exceptional achievements in scholarship, honors, awards, leadership and service. Of these 16 students, Jhanvi Patel from Oklahoma City was chosen by a committee of OU faculty, staff and students as the overall Outstanding Senior.

The group was recognized at a recent ceremony, where OU President Joseph Harroz Jr., OU Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students David Surratt, Ed.D., and representatives from OU colleges presented each recipient with their Outstanding Senior Award.

Rodney Tweten Named OU’s 2025 SEC Faculty Achievement Award Recipient

Rodney Tweten, Ph.D., a professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the OU College of Medicine, has been selected as the University of Oklahoma’s 2025 recipient of the Faculty Achievement Award supported by the Southeastern Conference. Recipients from SEC institutions go on to compete for a national SEC Professor of the Year award.
