You chose OU and PCS chose you!

President’s Community Scholars is composed of students who want to make a difference in their community. Through the President’s Community Scholars scholarship, President Joseph Harroz Jr. recognizes the community service
efforts of our high school's best and brightest scholars. Administered by the Office of Leadership and Volunteerism from the Division of Student Affairs, PCS provides high-achieving high school students with the best possible freshman experience through service to local, state, and global communities.

Become a global citizen with PCS.

Over 350 PCS students have traveled abroad to our OU campus in Arezzo, Italy. PCS has historically served the Tuscan community through beautification projects and by hosting an English immersion camp for the local children. The class travels to Arezzo, Assisi, Sienna, Florence, and Rome, where students are immersed in authentic Italian culture through food, art, and history and taught by renowned OU professors. Studying abroad with your fellow PCS friends is one of the unbeatable perks of being part of the President’s Community Scholars.

“Community service puts the ‘C’ in PCS! It is central to what unites us because we all share a love for giving back. Even more, it gives us the opportunity to show our gratitude to those who have given so much to shape who we are!"

“PCS has enhanced my college experience in ways I could have never imagined as an incoming freshman. College is a unique time for students to grow and develop into the people and professionals they aspire to be, and PCS equips them with the resources, community, and opportunity to achieve their goals. I'm forever thanking my lucky stars for allowing PCS to play a part in my OU story.”
