What is Speakers Bureau?
Speakers Bureau is proud to bring national speakers of a wide and varied background, from reality star & LGBTQ activist Tan France to actor Rainn Wilson to the University of Oklahoma year-round. Events are free for students and open to the public, where attendees can hear these amazing pop culture icons, world leaders, comedians and philanthropists share their stories. The CAC Speakers Bureau also provides funding for Registered Student Organizations to bring speakers to campus. More information about this process can be found below.

What is the Speakers Bureau Allocations Process?
The Speakers Bureau Allocations Process allows any Registered Student Organization (RSO) to apply for funding to bring a speaker to campus!
How does this relate to Speakers Bureau as an organization?
Speakers Bureau sets aside funds to help Registered Student Organizations bring speakers to campus. Its mission is to host free events for students, providing opportunities to learn from a variety of speakers on different topics that impact many facets of campus life. This funding opportunity allows other Registered Student Organizations to engage in and contribute to that mission as well.
Who can apply for funding?
Any Registered Student Organization (RSO) can apply.
What do I need to do to prepare for applying?
Attend an information session. (dates and locations on the Speakers Bureau Schedule tab)
Have a comprehensive plan and budget prepared.
This includes knowing the speaker you want to bring, the cost, contact information, the speaker’s title and topic, the amount of money you’re requesting, a venue for the event, and any other pertinent information a funding committee should know.
How do I apply for funding?
You can apply using the Engage form titled "CAC Speakers Bureau Allocations Funding Application for Spring 2026" which is now open. The link can also be found here: https://ou.campuslabs.com/engage/submitter/form/start/698383. After completing the application, you will receive information about presenting your plan to an allocations committee to request funding.
What can I use this funding for?
The funding can be used for anything included in the speaker's fee/honorarium.
*Other expenses like food or venue reservations cannot be paid using Speakers Bureau funds.
