What I enjoy most is the collaborative environment. OU brings together people from diverse backgrounds and disciplines, and I’m fortunate to work with many of them. There is always something new to learn from the exciting work happening across campus.
Serving as a Senator is important to me because it gives me the opportunity to represent the voices of my colleagues and help ensure that decisions are made with transparency, equity, and shared purpose. I value listening to diverse perspectives, advocating for meaningful change, and contributing to a more inclusive and responsive campus community. I also see this as a chance to learn more about the important work of the Staff Senate, which I haven’t been as connected to in the past.
I am a part-time adjunct instructor for Civil Engineering and Environmental Science.
I love spending time with my husband, especially going on hikes and exploring new places. I also enjoy traveling to visit my family in Houston. Staying active is important to me—I enjoy working out and making time for movement in my daily routine.

I think a great opportunity would be to highlight and showcase the wonderful work that staff do, and all the support they provide. Bringing more visibility to their contributions could foster greater appreciation and community spirit across campus.
