Dr. Kimberly Burdine, Ph.D.

Dr. Kimberly Burdine (pronouns: she/her) is originally from Oklahoma and a proud first-generation college graduate and alumni of Langston University, the state's only Historically Black University or College (HBCU). She has worked in university counseling for most of her career and enjoys providing group therapy and presenting on mental health topics across campus. Dr. Burdine's passions include destigmatizing mental health and helping people feel affirmed in their identities on their journeys toward healing and liberation. Dr. Burdine identifies as a generalist, which means she is open to working with a variety of concerns connected to emotional and spiritual health. Helping people navigate and build connection to themselves and with other people is particularly enjoyable. Dr. Burdine aims to work collaboratively with people receiving her services to ensure that their unique perspective and cultural context are prioritized. Lastly, Dr. Burdine currently draws inspiration from the work of Dr. Jennifer Mullan, Tricia Hersey, adrienne maree brown, and Prentis Hemphill.
