Ali Abdullah (Guraiffi) is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Data Science and Analytics (M.S.) while holding a Graduate Research Assistant position at the Academic Success Center (ASC). Giving back through education has been a core part of Ali’s journey at OU. As a tutor with the Action Center and Math Center, as well as a Teaching Assistant in multiple departments, he has personally supported over 3,000 students in aviation, economics, mathematics, and business. In his current role at ASC, he continues to support OU’s educational mission by analyzing student data and trends, driving evidence-based policies that improve student outcomes. Ali has plenty of experience from the student side of education as a bearer of three degrees. They are in Economics (B.A.), Mathematics (B.A.) and Aviation (B.S.). In his free time, he enjoys baking, camping, and photography. He aims to visit all U.S. National Parks and learn more about the diverse environment in this part of the world.

My favorite OU tradition is the Eve of Nations.

In my opinion, the very best part of working with students is the feeling of fulfillment and meaning when you know you made a positive impact on someone.

Despite what you might think, textbooks are actually useful.
