Brett Benson

Brett grew up in Bartlesville and graduated from the University of Oklahoma. Prior to his career in higher education he worked in business management and golf course construction and renovation in New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Idaho, California, and Georgia. He has also taught classes in business administration to undergraduate and graduate students.

In his spare time, Brett enjoys playing golf, listening to live music, traveling, and trying new restaurants. He is an avid OKC Thunder fan.

The Red River Rivalry football game between OU and Texas is an incredible tradition.  I also love to watch the Pride of Oklahoma march onto the field before home football games.

I really enjoy learning about each student’s interests and values and working with them to explore programs and majors that will help them meet their educational and career objectives and aspirations.

Try to find the right balance between academics, extracurricular activities, and a social life. Make sure to take advantage of the numerous and varied resources available to you while you are at OU.
