Spring Checklist

Congratulations on your admission to the University of Oklahoma! Beginning in September, students admitted for the spring semester can begin completing their checklist items. Outlined below are the steps that are necessary for you to finish in order to join us for Spring 2024. You will also find these requirements in OU Bound, our admitted student portal at oubound.ou.edu.

Visit OU Bound

  • Set up your OU Account & OU Email. Your OU account is your key to life at OU. To activate your account, go to one.ou.edu/activate and click on set up your OU account. Once your account is active you can access your OU Email at ou.edu/go2/ouemail.

  • Access OU Bound at oubound.ou.edu to see your post-admission checklist. The OU Bound portal will help you complete your next steps. You will use your OU account information to log in.

  • Complete the New Sooner Survey at oubound.ou.edu. This must be completed before you can schedule your New Sooner Orientation, when you will enroll in spring courses.

  • Sign up for New Sooner Orientation at newsooner.ou.edu. All incoming students must attend New Sooner Orientation, where you will be advised and enrolled in your spring courses. Registration for New Sooner Orientation opens October 2.

  • Apply for financial aid. Complete or update the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible. For more detailed information, visit ou.edu/sfc.

  • Familiarize yourself with the One Portal. One will give you access to campus resources like enrollment, financial aid, and more. To access One, go to one.ou.edu.

  • Apply for housing with OU Housing & Food Services. The Spring 2024 housing application opens September 20. Visit ou.edu/housingandfood to learn more.

  • Complete Health Requirements. You must submit a Certification of Compliance that states you are aware of the state of Oklahoma’s immunization requirements, which are outlined in the Certification. Complete this at immunization.ou.edu.

  • Finalize admission. OU needs your final high school transcript verifying your graduation date. Final transcripts must be submitted directly from your high school. If you submitted a final transcript with your application for admission there is nothing you need to do at this time. Note: If you have attended another college or university while in high school, or after high school graduation, please send your official transcript to oardocuments@ou.edu. If you are taking classes somewhere else this fall, send us your current class schedule to oardocuments@ou.edu.
