One way I left my mark on campus was serving as a Rho Gamma during Panhellenic recruitment. I guided many new Sooners through the recruitment process, helping them not only find their home here at OU, but also find their sisters through the amazing chapters we have here on campus.
The OU family is welcoming to everyone. There will always be someone in your corner to cheer you on, and whether you are a die hard Sooner fan or new to the OU family, you will feel like you're home whenever you're here!
A bittersweet moment... when I took my last final exam as an undergraduate. It was extremely rewarding knowing that this is the moment I have been working towards since I came to OU 4 years ago.
And when we beat Alabama, of course! Even after a tough first season in the SEC, our Sooner family got through it together to beat Bama!!
The greatest gift I took with me after graduation was opportunity. Opportunity to succeed in my desired career, to form lifelong friendships, and to keep chasing my dreams. OU gave me the foundation I needed to take my next steps into the future confidently.
One fun secret about campus is that the new computer lab on the first floor of Couch is basically just a mini version of the Bizz! It was always my go-to study spot as a freshman! Since it's right in Couch, you don't need to walk all the way to the library if you ever need a late night study session!
Homecoming week is one of my favorite OU traditions. It's always so fun for students to come together to not only celebrate our school and community, but also to celebrate alongside the alumni that made OU the amazing university it is today. It's just a great week to show off your Sooner Pride!!
For those just beginning their college search, keep a clear head and an open heart. It's easy to be distracted by flashy fun facts when you are exploring your alternatives for higher education. 1. Take some time to just sit and think about what really matters most to you. And 2. Ensure you are making an informed decision on what is best for YOU. Whether that's touring campus, attending an information session, or speaking with someone directly, do everything you can do to ensure you have all the necessary information. Once you have the big picture, trust yourself to make the best decision for your future!!
