Educational Background

Purdue University

As a student, where did you leave your mark on campus?

Most of my undergraduate involvement was with Residential Life and the Office of Admissions. I made a lot of lifelong friends and helped build experiences for my peers on campus through my position as a Resident Assistant. I also encouraged prospective students to see themselves at my school by being a student ambassador.

Define the OU family in your own words.

The OU Family is one that defies limits. The people that you come to know on campus are individuals and groups that intentionally choose to know you and be known, not because of their obligation. Sooners cheer for each other, help each other find the best paths towards their dreams, and encourage each other through hard seasons.

When was the moment you felt the greatest Sooner pride?

I feel the most Sooner pride when I am experiencing the beauty of everyday life on campus. The buildings and grounds at OU are gorgeous, the energy of students as they set about to accomplish their tasks for today, smiling faces and community- it's these small moments that make me proud to be apart of the Sooner family.

What was the greatest gift you took with you after graduation?

The greatest gift I took with me after graduation from university was the network of friends and colleagues that I had built. These relationships have deepened and been a great resource as I navigate life post-college.

Reveal one secret about campus.

The Bizzell Memorial Library has a collection of historic manuscripts tucked away. These texts include first edition publications of Shakespeare's plays and 15th century Bibles.

What is your favorite OU tradition?

The campus legend that if you walk under the bell tower, you won't graduate in four years. It reminds me of my alma mater.

What advice do you have for prospective students?

You don't need to have your next four years planned and figured out, you just need to know some of your interests! Take sometime in high school to explore things you're interested in. College is a time of further exploration of self and will provide you with many opportunities to narrow down your goals and plans!
