As a student, where did you leave your mark on campus?

As a student, I was involved in the Union Programming Board, Camp Crimson, Oklahoma Intercollegiate Legislature, Housing Center Student Association, Ultimate Frisbee, Undergraduate Student Congress, and Crimson Club. I also took home a couple of intramural sports championships and a CAC College Bowl win.

Define the OU Family in your own words.

The OU Family is all about support. At OU, you have so many people on your team cheeering you on and going above and beyond to help you succeed. It starts from the moment you arrive on campus and follows you long after graduation.

When was the moment you felt the greatest Sooner pride?

I come from a big softball family, so getting to see OU Softball win back to back National Championships is what first comes to mind. My mom and I went to an OU softball game right after our campus tour, which made the Women's College World Series game we went to four years later that much more memorable.

What was the greatest gift you took with you after graduation?

The greatest gift has to be the relationships and memories I made as a student. OU introduced me to so many people who've impacted my life tremendously and provided me with countless once-in-a-lifetime opportunities. And for this, I'll be forever grateful.

Reveal one secret about campus.

There is a way into the Oklahoma Canyon Garden, which is located right outside the west entrance of Bizzell Memorial Library, through the Zarrow Family Faculty and Graduate Student Center on the Lower Level 2. This is one of my favorite places on campus, and not many people know that anyone can access it. It's the perfect spot for reading, calling home, or having coffee with a friend.

What is your favorite OU tradition?

The Union Programming Board's annual Dancing with the Stars event will always have a special place in my heart. I had the opportunity to serve as the Executive Director for the event during my junior year and was able to compete as a "star" the following year. Although my partner and I were robbed of the mirrorball trophy, I had so much fun being a part of the show both years. Dancing with the Stars also challenged me in so many ways and helped me grow into the person I am today.

What advice do you have for prospective students?

I highly encourage students to come to Norman for a campus tour. Being on campus helps you gain a whole new perspective on OU and allows you to see all that the university has to offer. It also gives you the opportunity to envision what your time here could look like.
