As a student, where did you leave your mark on campus?

I believe the legacy I sowed at OU was through the leadership left with my mentees in organizations and the students I was a TA for in Foundations courses.

Define the OU family in your own words.

The OU Family is the group of people you meet during college and become lifelong friends with, visiting for holidays or going to music festivals together. 

When was the moment you felt the greatest Sooner pride?

As a queer person, having the opportunity to use my drag as a resource for others and to perform at Crimson & Queens for friends, OU family, and so many more were the moments I felt I could integrate my identities fully. This really kicked off Rhonda's nationwide debut (no joke).

What was the greatest gift you took with you after graduation?

The OU Alumni Association gifted a paver stone in the Union Courtyard for my work and dedication during college. It's a physical representation of my college degrees, which as a first-generation student are two of my greatest accomplishments. 

Reveal one secret about campus.

The walkway between Evans Halls and the Biz is an ideal hammock spot, with little foot traffic and good wifi.

What is your favorite OU tradition?

The togetherness and energy felt as a crowd of OU fans raise their O's above their heads and shout "OOOOOOOO-U!"

What advice do you have for prospective students? 

Take advantage of all the free tutoring! Wouldn't have made A's in Organic Chemistry without it. The OU family is truly special and will welcome you with open arms!
