OKLAHOMA RISING SCHOLARS PROGRAM

$28,800


  • $3,600 per semester/$7,200 per year for four years to help offset the costs of fees, books, or housing and food.
  • Funded by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and is subject to change.
  • Must maintain a 3.25 cumulative GPA, be enrolled full time at OU (min. 12 hours/semester), and complete at least 24 OU credit hours each academic year.
  • Can be used toward any graduate/professional program at OU if funds remain after completion of undergraduate degree. Student must be admitted to graduate program on own merit.

TUITION WAIVER

$26,850


  • Waives 100% of resident tuition for five years (fall and spring semesters).
  • Must maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA, be enrolled full time at OU (min. 12 hours/semester), and complete at least 24 OU credit hours each academic year.
  • Can be used toward any graduate/professional program at OU if funds remain after completion of undergraduate degree. Student must be admitted to graduate program on own merit.

FIRST-YEAR ASSOCIATES SCHOLARSHIP

  • One-time award applied to Bursar account at the beginning of the first year.

RESEARCH & STUDY ABROAD STIPEND

$1,000


  • Can be used for an approved undergraduate for-credit research experience or as a one-time travel-study stipend when you enroll full-time at an OU International Study Center, in a faculty-led program, or at one of OU’s many partner universities worldwide.

KEEP IN MIND:

  • Students offered the Regent’s Award prior to May 1 must have their Rising Scholars Application submitted to the OSRHE by May 15. Failure to meet the submission deadline could result in ineligibility for scholarship. The online application is available at go2.ou.edu/oas-apply.
  • Students who are not approved by the State Regents’ office will be re-evaluated for academic scholarship eligibility.
