ABOUT US

Purpose
▪ To acquaint members with the objectives, ethics, activities, and publications of the archival profession and the Society of American Archivists.
▪ To provide opportunities for members to discuss archival issues and the archival profession, interact with professionals working in archival settings, including tribal libraries and special collections, and engage in professional activities.
▪ To promote communication with other student groups within the University of Oklahoma in order to develop mutually shared interests. To promote archival interests within the University.

SAA@OU was founded in 2011. Re-established in 2015.

OU SLIS
Many of the members of SAA@OU are students in the School of Library & Information Studies, which has an archives program as part of the MLIS degree. Their website has information on faculty, degree programs, funding, and the application process.
