Courtney Shupert is an economist whose work focuses on regional economic analysis, labor market dynamics, and monetary policy. Her research combines high-frequency data and applied economic modeling to better understand economic trends and inform policy and business decision-making.
Shupert previously served as an Assistant Economist at the Oklahoma City Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. In that role, she conducted regional economic research, prepared economic briefings, and contributed to the Federal Reserve’s Beige Book reports summarizing economic conditions across the Tenth District. Her work included analyzing business surveys and integrating qualitative and quantitative data to assess economic conditions across the region.
She currently works as an economist with MacroPolicy Perspectives, where she focuses on micro-level analysis of the U.S. economy, high-frequency economic data, and monetary policy developments. Her research also includes the use of large datasets to study changes in labor markets and commodity markets.
Shupert completed both her undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Oklahoma, earning a master’s degree in economics with an emphasis in data analytics. She is a member of the National Association of Business Economists and remains engaged in research and public discussion on economic policy and regional economic trends.
