Matthew Jensen, PhD

Matthew L. Jensen (Ph.D., University of Arizona, 2007) is a Presidential Associate Professor of Management Information Systems and a co-Director of the Center for Applied Social Research at the University of Oklahoma.

Professor Jensen's interests include computer-aided decision making, human-computer interaction, and computer-mediated communication. He investigates how people attribute credibility in mediated interactions and evaluate information they find online. His application areas include digital messaging by organizations, information security, user-generated content, recommender systems, and gamification. He has published over 100 journal articles, book chapters, and conference papers. Jensen has also been Primary Investigator or co-Primary Investigator on research projects totaling approximately $8.9 million sponsored by the National Science Foundation, Air Force Office of Scientific Research, Department of Homeland Security, and several other federal agencies.
