My fascination with understanding biological systems began with a curiosity about how molecules define life and health. Over time, this curiosity evolved into a passion for exploring those molecules using powerful analytical tools. The precision and depth offered by spectroscopy and mass spectrometry revealed how much more can be learned about biology when viewed through an analytical lens, shaping my path toward bioanalytical chemistry.

At the University of Oklahoma, I work with Dr. Christina Bourne, focusing on mass spectrometry–based proteomics to study protein expression and biochemical mechanisms in complex biological systems. My research involves liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) and ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC) for quantitative and functional proteomic analyses, carried out with the courtesy and collaboration of Dr. Nagib Ahsan. Together, these efforts aim to improve our understanding of how molecular changes drive biological processes and disease outcomes.

Looking ahead, I aspire to apply my expertise in bioanalytical mass spectrometry to the biopharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, using advanced analytical approaches to uncover molecular signatures that can guide diagnostics and therapeutic development.
