My name is Anne Martin Salazar! I’ve always asked how the world works around me, which led me to study the role of capillary cells in early detection of diabetic retinopathy under Dr. Cammi Valdez in my bachelor’s. Since then, I’ve continued to answer those “how?” questions as an inorganic chemistry student, where I focus on proton-coupled electron transfer in redox reactions involving titanium metal-organic frameworks, under Dr. Hyunho Noh. I plan to become a lecture professor, for I’d love nothing more than to spark the same passion for chemistry I have in future generations.
