My name is Nazmiye Gokce Altincekic. I am from Istanbul, Turkey. I graduated from Bogazici University (BOUN). During my bachelor’s degree, I worked as a research fellow at the Materials Institute of The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK), a government research institute, under Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ilke Gurol and Assoc. Prof. Cihat Tasaltin for 8 months. Later, to experience the industrial side of chemistry, I completed long-term internship at KALEKIM Chemicals, Industry and Trade Inc-Applied Research Laboratory for 9 months. After all my extensive academic and industrial research adventures during my undergraduate life led me to pursue research in the academic field, and I have started my Ph.D. journey at the University of Oklahoma.
Currently, in the Noh Lab, I'm focused on studying redox-active Metal-Organic Frameworks for understanding the thermodynamics of H-atom transfer reactions.
