Chemistry is a subject that beyond the scope of what we see and what we think usually. It is a scientific study of the properties and behavior of matter. The beauty of the Chemistry arise from its concepts and theories which describe the happenings of the world in a logical way, which can stimulate ones curiosity to study it. For me it starts with the beginning of my undergraduate studies in University of Ruhuna which is a top ranking University in Sri Lanka with a well-established Chemistry Department. At the end of first two years, I was selected for the Special degree program in Chemistry among two hundred students who followed the same degree and I was able to be the second out of them due to my strong academic performance in Chemistry. This opportunity enlightens my life by empowering my curiosity in Chemistry. This became a good chance for me to widen my knowledge on Chemistry related concepts with another eye, making me to think deeply. This further enhanced my morality to study more on Chemistry.
