My interest in Chemistry developed during my undergraduate studies when I learnt how versatile the subject is. Chemistry is the backbone of science, and it is central to our existence, and leads our investigations into the human body, cosmetics, food, materials, energy, etc.

My research is on synthesis, isolation, characterization, and chemical reactivity of metal nitrosyl porphyrin complexes. These complexes are proposed to be reactive intermediates in the inter-conversions between the various nitrogen oxide (NOx) species carried out by enzymes found in bacteria and fungi in the environment.

After graduation, I plan on becoming a research scientist either in an academic institution or research institute.
