A fifth-generation Oklahoman, Kelly Taylor graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Classics and Letters. After obtaining masters' degrees in Classics, she taught Latin and Greek at the middle and high school level before returning to OU. She teaches beginning and intermediate Latin and Greek courses, as well as courses in the history, culture, and literature of the ancient Mediterranean.
