Carolina Rueda

Carolina Rueda holds a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh and achieved tenure at OU 2020 with her book on Latin American urban cinema and several articles published in recognized peer-reviewed journals. Her 2021 film Oklahoma Mon Amour, distributed worldwide, received accolades at numerous international film festivals. The film has screened at several universities and has been included in film course syllabi. Professor Rueda has created and taught a variety of film courses at OU and has mentored many undergraduate and graduate students. Presently, she is developing the community-oriented and collaborative essay-film, titled Solo: The Art of Walking Alone in the City
