Micah Tucker is pursuing a PhD in American History at the University of Oklahoma. He holds a master’s degree in history from the University of Utah and a bachelor’s from Texas Christian University. A scholar of Western and environmental history, his research explores how humans understand and engage with animals—through science, philosophy, and hunting—and how they’ve sought to control them through policy and infrastructure.
Micah's research is rooted in a love for the people, wildlife, and natural world of his country. Outside the classroom, he enjoys art, literature, and film, and loves to stay active.
