OU HSTM Department attends Midwest Junto
Members of the OU HSTM department recently attended the 66th Midwest Junto for the History of Science at Missouri S&T, hosted by the Center for Science, Technology, and Society, March 21-22, 2025.
Emily Laiben, 2nd year Master's student, presented "Evolution and Degeneration in the work of Emma Frances Brooke" based on research from her master's thesis.
Alum Carolyn Scearce presented "Revisiting the Keystone Species Concept: Is This a Case of Misapplied Institutional Memory?”
Finally, Dr. Pete Soppelsa will be the President of the Junto for the 2025-2026 year, and Cecilia Slane is joining the Executive Committee for the same period.
