Profile

I joined the University of Oklahoma as an Instructor of Italian in the Fall of 2023. I am currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Italian Studies at Rutgers University. Prior to Rutgers, I earned an M.A. and a B.A. in Asian and North African Studies from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, with a focus on Chinese Language and Literature. During my B.A. years, I was also a student of the Honors Program at the International College Ca’ Foscari. In China, I completed an M.A. in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages at Capital Normal University. In Norway, I studied at the United World College Red Cross Nordic.

My teaching and research interests revolve around contemporary Italian and Chinese literature, transnational HIV/AIDS literature, transnational LGBTQ+ literature and cinema, ethics, life writing, and illness narrative. My doctoral work concentrates on the (un)narration of HIV/AIDS in Italian literature, focusing on those narratives written by marginalized and underrepresented identities.

Prior to OU, I taught at Rutgers University, Colgate University, and Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.
