Making Notes in the Canvas Gradebook

Use the Notes column in the Gradebook to keep track of extra information regarding your students.

The Notes column is not visible to students and can be useful for such things as:

  • noting if a student goes by a different name

  • details you need to know about a student

  • anything related to an assignment that you need handy (such as the topic a student has chosen)

  • keeping track of student attendance, comments, etc.
