A great way to get students to read the Syllabus is to have them complete a syllabus quiz at the beginning of the semester using a Canvas Quiz.

You can allow students multiple attempts, have the quiz automatically graded, and even require a certain score before they can move on in the course.

After setting up the Syllbus Quiz, you can add prerequisites and requirements to modules so that students have to complete the Syllabus Quiz to continue in the course. Module prerequisites and requirements work together to ensure students complete required steps to proceed in the course.
