Jiebei Luo is an Assistant Professor in the School of Library and Information Studies at the University of Oklahoma. Before joining OU, she worked as an academic librarian at New York University, Boston College, and Skidmore College, where she supported data-intensive research and teaching across the social sciences and business disciplines. Her research focuses on three areas: data-seeking behaviors and library support, data literacy instruction and LIS education, and data science and artificial intelligence applications in library services, including AI literacy and competencies for librarians. She earned a PhD in Library and Information Science from Simmons University, an MS in Analytics from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and an MLIS from Rutgers University.
