Mahdieh Nazari is a Ph.D. student in Information Studies at the University of Oklahoma. Her research focuses on Human–AI Interaction, cognitive aspects of user experience, and usability. She has a strong academic background in Information Science, holding both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the field, with a minor in Information Management.
Her master’s thesis evaluated the usability of the University of Tehran’s Learning Management System (LMS), shedding light on user perceptions and usability issues. More recently, her research has examined how novice users interact with AI systems such as LLMs and whether cognitive biases such as functional fixedness influence these interactions.
