Congratulations to Peyman Hekmatpour for being selected as a recipient of the Nancy L. Mergler Dissertation Completion Fellowship! Peyman is one of the seven doctoral students selected across the OU campus for this award. Peyman is currently working on his doctoral dissertation titled "Global vs. Local: Panel Analyses of Economic, Political, Environmental, and Gender Inequalities in Late Capitalism." This award includes a stipend, tuition waiver, and health insurance coverage for a full academic year, so the fellow can devote full time to completing the dissertation. Peyman is the third OU Sociology PhD canidate to recieve this award in the past 6 years.
