Alexandra D. Wood receives an Undergraduate Research Opportunity Award


Congratulations to Alexandra D. Wood who has been awarded the UROP (Undergraduate Research Opportunity) Award! The UROP award offers financial assistance for undergraduate research projects under the guidance of a faculty member. Alexandra received this award to facilitate research surrounding neighborhood characteristics and the locations of mass shootings in the United States of America. She is working with OU Sociology faculty Dr. Erin Maher and Dr. Julie Gerlinger. Alexandra has been admitted to the OU Sociology BA/MA program, was recently named a McNair Scholar, and has received the Lou and Connie Miller Charitable Foundation Endowed Scholarship for her prior service in the United States Navy.
