Miller accepts Visiting Assistant Professor position at the University of Illinois

Congratulations to Leslie Miller who recently accepted a Visiting Assistant Professor position in the Department of Sociology at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign starting in August, 2021.  Leslie will be teaching a large Introductory section of sociology, sociology of gender, and health & illness while there. Leslie will defend her dissertation titled Peoples’ Experiences with Pouches (P.E.W.P.) Study: Medical Clinician Communication and the Stigmatization of People with an Ostomy' this summer. Her (awesome) committee includes: B. Mitchell Peck (Chair), Ann Beutel, Amy Kroska, Stephanie Burge, and Miriam Gross (Department of International and Area Studies at OU). Leslie will miss Norman and OU and getting to bug Dr. Peck from across the hall, but she is excited for this next step at UIUC.

Congratulations and Well Done!
