Congratulations to OU Sociology assistant professor Dr. Ian Carrillo, who recently published an article in Global Dialogue, the open access public sociology magazine of the International Sociological Association. Dr. Carrillo's essay "Racism and Anti-Environmentalism in US Politics" discusses the linkages between racism and anti-environmentalism, and how cross-racial solidarity is needed to create public goods for planetary survival. The essay is adapted from Dr. Carrillo's article "The Racial Fix and Environmental State Formation," published in the journal Current Sociology in 2021.
