Lisa Byers, ᏣᎳᎩ, ᏥᏍᏆ ᏧᏂᏴᏫ (Cherokee, Bird Clan), focuses on relational cultural theory in tribal and colonized groups. She co-developed a social work course for Oklahoma Native elders and works on tribal child welfare, historical trauma, and social work's role in truth and reconciliation efforts.
