Our mission at the Center for Faculty Excellence is to guide all University of Oklahoma faculty in every facet of career development, including teaching, community engagement, and research and creative activities, from their first year at OU through the full arc of their faculty career.
The staff of the CFE is here for you this summer! Do not hesitate to reach out for a consultation. This is the best time to take advantage of our resources and services. You can request a consultation and visit our events calendar right here on our home page.
Have a great Summer!
CFE Team
Come make a plan for your summer writing projects! The CFE opens its doors to faculty for a ONE-DAY writing retreat offering a range of writing support: strategic planning for the summer and the following academic year, writing accountability, a quiet and well-lit space to think and write, sign-up sheets for summer writing groups, camaraderie, caffeine, and snacks galore! The day will also offer opportunities to focus on wellness, with optional breathing and stretching exercises. CFE and Arts and Humanities Forum staff will be available to discuss projects—or just to chat. Drop in for as long as you can. (Since school will be out, we understand you may have childcare duties. Bring the kids! We will provide activities for children—books, coloring, etc.)
Date, time, and place:
Thursday, May 28th, 2026, 9am — 4pm at the CFE offices (Old Science Hall rm 222 & 223)
