New Faculty

Faculty Growth, Leadership, and Career Progression

The University of Oklahoma is committed to investing in the success of its faculty at all stages of their careers. As a new faculty member, you will have the opportunity to participate in programs specifically designed to meet your needs. New Faculty Orientation NFO is the week before classes begin in the fall semester.  This two-day workshop introduces new faculty to the critical information, resources, and support for your research, teaching, and service.  NFO will provide you with the opportunity to meet key leaders of the University and learn more about our mission, vision and strategic plan.  In addition, the Center for Faculty Excellence also offers the New Faculty Orientation In-Depth series weekly throughout the fall semester for new faculty to learn about various OU resources and opportunities, as well as, connect and network with other new faculty colleagues. We look forward to you joining the OU community.

To learn more about our recent new faculty cohorts, please take this opportunity to review the 2023 New Faculty Profiles (PDF).  The profiles include new faculty interests on teaching, research & creative activities, and collaborations.
