Each Fall, CFE requests proposals for year-long Faculty Fellowships, pending on funding. Faculty Fellows build on and enhance CFE's existing programming, resources, and activities to further support OU faculty as they develop their scholarship through research and creative activities, teaching, community engagement and service. Dr. Beliveau is working to establish a Critical AI Literacy framework that equips OU faculty to engage artificial intelligence as a subject of humanistic inquiry, creative experimentation, and pedagogical reflection.

Dr. Hill's current project is to help faculty define, develop, and deploy the concepts and principles of compassion in their teaching.
Rebecca Huskey, Ph.D.

Dr. Rebecca Huskey is an associate professor in the Department of Classics and Letters and has a background in the history of ideas, ethics, and the conjunction of philosophy and literature. Her research interests have included the philosophy of Paul Ricoeur and the fiction and poetry of Sherman Alexie. She is a ‘utility player’ for her department, teaching classes in mythology, classical influences on modern literature, and historical and literary depictions of technology.
Prior to holding this fellowship, Dr. Huskey worked with the CFE hosting books groups and a learning community related to artificial intelligence. During 2026, she hopes to turn down the temperature on some of the more heated conversations surrounding AI that happen on campus. Dr. Huskey will host short, participatory workshops focusing on the role of AI tools in academia, how they can be used for good (if they are used), and assisting students with their understanding of this evolving technology.
